We love shooting at MKJ, it is truly a beautiful venue that so many people share their love for, but the farm holds a much deeper meaning for Elizabeth and Andrew. MKJ is literally their front yard! So many weddings have taken place weekend after weekend, Liz and Andrew would hear the receptions going all night waiting for their turn, and this past weekend, it was finally their turn!
Liz and Andrew, not only are one darn good looking couple, but they are absolute sweethearts! From the moment we arrived we felt all of the positive energy from everyone! The girls were getting their makeup on and stepping into their navy blue gowns. The guys were putting together final touches on ceremony details and suiting up, looking classy in their grey suits with blush ties. Time snuck up on everyone as the seats filled outside beside the pond. The rain had finally let up from the morning storms and it was beautiful with dramatic clouds for the rest of the day. Liz’s mother and sisters helped her into her dress, it was a sweet moment between their family as they laced up her corset on the gorgeous lace gown. Elizabeth was a breathtaking bride. Their ceremony was delightful. Andrew had the biggest smile on his face as Liz made her way to meet him under the beautiful arch that he hand made. Our portrait session with Liz and Andrew was so fun! One of our very favorite moments from the day was when they both took a peice of straw, stuck it in their mouth, and hollered “WE’RE FROM DEANNNSSSBORO!” (in the funniest country accents.) Their reception had a cute country feel, with mason jar and burlap centerpieces filled with pink roses and baby’s breath. Delicious pulled pork, bbq chicken, mac n cheese, and potato salad filled everyone’s stomachs so they could work it off later dancing. The dance floor was full too- thanks to bumpin tunes from DJ Kenny “the promo guy.” Liz and Andrew wrapped up their beautiful day with a lantern send off. With a little time and steady hands, they floated off into the night sky…at least most of them.
Congratulations Elizabeth and Andrew! Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your beautiful day. We wish you both happiness and love.
