We are still trying to get over how amazing Caitlin and Francis’s wedding was! Every detail was Pinterest perfect, from the GORGEOUS gown, to the guys dressed to the nines in suspenders and bow-ties, the absolutely adorable bouquets tied up with black and white striped ribbons, and a reception hall that completely blew us away! It also didn’t hurt that Caitlin and Frank were a seriously beautiful couple, and so very sweet!
As soon as I pulled up to Francis’s parents house, he was greeting me at the door with a huge smile. Then I was introduced to the groomsmen- and oh man what an awesome group of guys to have by your side! I could not stop laughing, between the ongoing shot jokes and their pockets were literally overflowing with mints of every kind, (thanks to Francis’s mom supplying them so they would have minty fresh breath throughout the whole day!
Tom spent time with Caitlin and her girls in the morning, the house overflowing with the makeup artist and hair stylist. Caitlin had her dress hanging up, beautifully displayed along with her bridesmaids dresses- all with customized hangers. After she was helped into her gown, she made her way down the stairs to reveal the final look to the rest of her bridesmaids. You could not help but be in awe of how beautiful she looked!
The ceremony was held at Mt. Carmel Church in Utica. The girls flooded in like a wave of black flowing gowns, while Caitlin snuck into the side door, hidden away from the full church. One by one the girls walked down the aisle, until it was just Caitlin and her father left. They wrapped arms and made their way to Francis, every guest excited and smiling.
After the ceremony, we headed over to the Oneida Community Mansion in Sherrill, where we had a blast making our way around, stopping every few steps to take some more pictures. It is such a beautiful and unique location and was awesome to go back to where we took their engagement photos! We also did something super fun with the bridal party, taking individual portraits of the silliest faces they could make, and they nailed it every time! Not only did we luck out with the weather, but the sunset was so beautiful, it was a perfect way to wrap up the portrait session.
Vernon Downs was a quick drive away, and WOW was it stunning! Caitlin’s eye for detail was incredible, every table was dressed with black and white striped runners to match the ribbon on the bouquets, gold accent plates, glowing lanterns and towering golden candelabras. To say we loved it is an understatement! After a delicious dinner of a variety of food stations the guests were treated to a showing of the live horse races from a huge projector and were all given tickets to bet- what an awesome idea! When the dance floor opened up there was a huge game of “spin the bottle” where if it stopped on you, you had to enter the center of the circle and dance your heart out- Tom was called out and it was a highlight of his night! From there the dancing continued all night, finishing off with a huge group circle for the last song!
Congratulations Caitlin and Francis, and thank you for letting us share your day with you!
