Sixty State Place - The Venue
Sixty State Place is an historic bank in Albany, NY, transformed into a sophisticated event venue and boasts an elegant main ballroom that’s perfect for both your ceremony and reception. Imagine walking through a grand entrance into a space with high ceilings, marble walls, and intricate details that take your breath away!
Off the ballroom, downstairs, you’ll find “The Vault,” a charming pre-function area that adds a unique touch to this venue. This cozy spot is ideal for cocktail hours and mingling before the reception. The main ballroom is usually set up for the ceremony first. Then, during cocktail hour, the talented staff quickly transforms it into a stunning reception area with tables for dinner and a perfect dance floor for the whole party crew!
LIVE MUSIC FRIENDLY!
If a DJ isnt your vibe, Sixty State Place is well-equipped to host live bands! There is ample space for a band to set up and perform. Whether you’re looking for a jazz ensemble to play during dinner or a lively band to get everyone dancing at the reception, Sixty State Place’s main ballroom has plenty of space for musical arrangements. The wedding we photographed here our couple hired a live band that had everyone on their feet all night!
Sixty State Place Wedding Capacity
Based on their website, Sixty State Place can comfortably seat up to 300 guests for a seated dinner. But with a live band, things get a little cozier, so keep in mind that they can seat 225 guests comfortably when you’ve got a rockin’ band!

Sixty State Place is a great setting anytime of year, the indoor spaces provide a classic and timeless atmosphere that works perfectly year-round.
