I’m a firm believer in soulmates, there’s a person made for everyone, and life is about finding that special person to share it with. It’s clear to see that Lauren and Erik are soulmates. Sometimes in life, there are chance encounters with strangers that turn into partners, but sometimes that special person, could have been in your life the whole time, it just took a little longer to realize it was them all along. Lauren and Erik grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same school, and even had the same group of friends. There were photos of them with their friends together from different gatherings throughout the years. From parties to sports events, they were in each other’s lives, but they just stayed acquaintances. Then after Lauren graduated college and moved back home for the summer, Erik decided to take his chance and ask her to hang out before Lauren headed off to graduate school. Most of the time they would hang out with all of their friends so to them they didn’t really consider it a date, but eventually, they started hanging out alone and they realized that they could be more than friends. Then when it was time for Lauren to go back to school they had to decide what their future would hold, and Erik, without hesitation told Lauren, “it’s ok, I’ll just drive out to see you.” Well, as most everyone knows, long-distance relationships are hard, so after a few months of trying to make it work, they decided to take a break. The time apart made them stronger and after a few months into the break, Erik asked if he could come out to visit. Lauren tried to play it off like it wasn’t that big of a deal, but she was jumping with joy to see him again! They decided to meet at Dinosaur BBQ and when the host seated them at the same table that they had one of their first dates at, it clicked, they knew at that moment, that they were going to be a forever thing. They were stronger together, no matter what life threw at them.
Lauren and Erik’s wedding was held at the Turning Stone Lodge and Shenendoah clubhouse, where family and friends gathered to celebrate their love. After Tom and I spent some time over this past year getting to know Lauen and Erik, we found it so easy to love them, they individually are incredibly sweet people, but together they have a spark that is truly something special to see. They have such love for each other that makes whoever they surround themselves with, feel that same love as well! From the very start of the day to the last few hours of the reception, Lauren and Erik had huge smiles on their faces (and shed a few occasional happy tears, ) we witnessed an incredible array of all the best emotions, a truly amazing wedding!
Congratulations Lauren and Erik! We feel so lucky that we were able to share your wedding with you! We wish you nothing but the best and all the love!
