Is it just us or has anyone else noticed that there haven’t been as many sunsets this summer as there was last summer? We, like most people, really enjoy that golden hour when everything pops and even though they have been far and few this season, we got lucky enough to have the MOST beautiful sunset for Alyssa and Aaron’s engagement session at Onondaga Lake Park! The whole day and the days leading up to it, we were all pretty nervous that we were going to be completely rained out, we all crossed our fingers and went for it anyway with rain clouds in the forecast and man, are we happy that we did!!!!
This was our first time meeting Alyssa and Aaron in person but we already knew from our phone calls that they were going to be a super fun couple to spend a night shooting with! Their personalities are the equivalent to drinking a big cup of coffee and then wrapping yourself in the fuzziest blanket, (I’m not sure if that makes sense to anyone else but me,) but they just really have a fantastic way of making you feel pumped up and excited and at the same time completely warm and comforted. We talked about tons of fun things like country music concerts and pontoon boating and because Alyssa and Aaron are so approachable, we also spent tons of time talking to strangers we met on our walk! In particular two kids who were keen on taking a photo with our couple and also really loved Alyssa and Aaron’s four-legged best friend, a beagle hound named Finn.
It pretty much goes without being said that we are excited to see these two again for their wedding next summer, when we know we will be in for another adventurous and fun day!
