Cythina + Patrick

Sometimes all it takes is a mutual love of Disney, and Star Wars for me to feel instantly connected to someone; and that’s exactly how it happened with Cynthia and Patrick! At our first meeting, Tom and I knew that there was something so genuinely sweet about these two, but with more time spent with them we really learned what a special couple they are! Not only apparent to us, (initially two outsiders) but for the closest of family and friends, words have never been spoken so highly during toasts and conversations to us. Besides the similar interest over the wonderful Walt Disney and galaxies far far away, we learned deeper discoveries of Cynthia and Patrick’s life. We found that both are in the business of all things teeth and oral hygiene, recently graduating together from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. We also learned the parts of their personalities that brought them to where they are today, how Cynthia’s ambition and drive to succeed is one everyone strives for, and how Patrick’s optimism and joy for life, makes him impossible not to love! Alone they are incredible people, but together they are truly a force to be reckoned with!

My morning was spent at the Lodge at the Turning Stone, where Cynthia and her bridesmaids prepared for the day while jamming out to an all Disney playlist, (of course) , I instantly felt right at home! Meanwhile, Tom was with the guys as Patrick prepared for what was soon be in his words “the best 20 minutes of his life” a.k.a The first look! No amount of “wow’s” and happy gasps would be enough to describe just how overwhelmed with joy these two were to finally be in each other’s arms.

After what seemed to be the most adorable portrait session, Cynthia and Patrick hopped in the limo and headed over to Saint Patrick’s in Oneida. Tom and I both loved the ceremony, where the priest, Father Kapral spoke on the seriousness of marriage and how life is ever changing, and tomorrow is never a promise. The reminder is one that hit us so hard to live each day with love and forgiveness. On the flip side, we really got to see the silly and fun side to Cynthia and Patrick, (as well as all of their super fun guests) when it came time for the reception at the Shenandoah Club house. Introductions were taken “very seriously” as everyone busted out their very best dance moves, plus the great John Williams was the Bride and Groom’s choice composer when it was their turn! I’m sure you can imagine what fun the rest of the reception was too! Everyone was so happy to be celebrating Cynthia and Patrick, they were up and dancing ( filling the dance floor) before they were even served dinner! When I reflect on their day, it’s joy in its purest form!
