“Let all that you do be done in love.” Corinthians 16:14
One of our favorite parts about our job is hearing everyone’s love stories…and because everyone loves a good love story, we just needed to share this one!
Ben and Dominique first met back in elementary school. Dominique told us, that Ben was always so sweet to her, but she didn’t know how to respond to his charm and ended up just being maybe a little mean to him. Ben chimed in with a memory of Dominique throwing a basketball at him, to which he apologized to her by giving her a glass of lemonade. They told us about the time they held hands in middle school during a foreign language club field trip…and then didn’t talk again after that for three years. Fast forward to high school, when Ben would drive them to school together, and even when they were dating other people, they both told us that there was always feelings for each other. College came and took them separate ways and when it came time for them to come home, they both found each other again at church. All it took after that was for Dominique to ask Ben out for coffee and as they say “the rest is history.” What we find so adoring is that through all that time, it was always each other, and even through the waves of life, they made their way back together. They are made for each other, and just spending even a short amount of time with them it is easy to see why! Dominique and Ben share such beautiful love, it is innocent and sweet, but strong and confident, and it is truly amazing to see!
Now that we told you about their love story, we can tell you about the wedding day, and what an amazing day it was! I spent the morning with Dominique, and I can honestly say I have never seen a bride so nervous before, but even with all the nerves, she was radiating joy! After hugs and kisses from nieces and nephews, Dominique was helped into her wedding dress by her sister and mom. Then her dad entered in the room and I promise when I say it might have been the most emotional first look I’ve ever seen. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room (including mine)! Tom spent the morning with Ben and his groomsmen, and unlike Dominique, Ben was relaxed. He was confident and could not be more excited to marry Dominique. The ceremony took place at Redeemer Church, where they reconnected. Live worship songs were sung and family was involved when they came up on stage and placed their hands on the couple for prayers; It was amazing to see! Following the ceremony, we worked our way through family photos. Everyone was so organized and made a tough job of getting photos of 50 plus people feel like a walk in the park! (shout out to the family members who made it happen)! After getting family photos all finished, we took Ben, Dominique and their bridal party away for more photos, and we LOVED that they gave us a ton of time to work with, it made for some of our favorite photos! Besides the fact that everyone in the bridal party was so awesome to work with, they were also awesome to photograph! With elegance and sophistication, Ben and Dominique’s day was one classy affair! Red rose bouquets, golden shimmering bridesmaids gowns, tuxedos paired with wingtips, the entire wedding party looked awesome next to the beautiful bride and groom! The reception took place at Stonebridge Golf & Country Club, where a grand tent was waiting for guests to fill it! Tall and short red rose centerpieces on every table and even a fountain next to the dance floor made it a perfect place for a party! After beautiful toasts and a tasty dinner, everyone was on the dance floor. Ben and Dominique even changed out of their dress shoes into some Nike sneakers so they could completely commit themselves to the dance floor for the rest of the night! It was truly an incredible day, and the perfect way to celebrate Ben and Dominique’s love!
Thank you Ben and Dominique for inviting us to be a part of your day! It was such a pleasure to be able to work with you both and we wish love and happiness for all the years to come!
