“I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, and all you’rE yet to be. -Unknown
Tom and I are both graduates of Mohawk Valley Community College, it is where we spent our time learning new skills, making friends, and it is where we both met Ron Jones. Ron (or Dr. Jones) as we call him, was a photo TA at the time and we ended up spending a majority of two years with him. During those two years we got to know him not only as a teacher, but as a friend. He is one of the most kind, patient, and funny guys we know. So when we received an email from him about shooting his wedding we were both SO thrilled. Meeting Liz for the first time was just as exciting, it was easy to see why they were a perfect fit for each other. Elizabeth is beautiful, and kind, and she gives off such positive energy with her smile! We also got to meet Liam, Liz’s son, the sweetest kid, and the best bridal escort we have ever seen!
The wedding day took place at the Turning Stone Lodge, and Shenandoah Clubhouse. The morning was spent with each of their bridal parties, getting ready, and taking breaks to jump on beds, and make some big time sock decisions. Liz made a stunning bride in her lace beaded gown, and her bridesmaids looked beautiful in their navy blue dresses, their gorgeous bouquets of sunflowers really *popped* and were so fun and summery. Ron and his guys looked super sharp in their grey suits, with matching blue ties. When it came time for the ceremony, Elizabeth’s son Liam walked her down the aisle and made everyone’s hearts so happy when he was asked who was giving her away and his little voice piped out “I am!” We loved being able to spend the day with them and one of our favorite parts of the day was hearing the toasts, they were so sweet and sincere and were enough to make us tear up! Liam even got in on giving a speech, and ended it with a grand “LET’S EAT!” (The best ending to a toast ever!) The rest of the night. everyone was on the dance floor thanks to music by Black Tie entertainment. Ron and Liz were dedicated to finishing the song “Apache” (the Jump On It) and they had all the moves down! It was truly an incredible wedding and we could not have been happier to be able to capture the day!
Congratulations Ron and Liz. You guys are so awesome! We wish you all the love and happiness.
