“For all the things my hands have held, the best by far is you”- Andrew McMahon
As photographers we’ve never had one of our clients ask to take our photo…until we met Stacey and Mike. Right away that shows you just how sweet and thoughtful they are. From the first time we met them, we just clicked! With bubbly personalities and a laid back charm, they made every meeting and shoot with them a fun adventure!
Stacey, her mom, and her bridesmaids started off the big day at Shear Image Salon. Later, as Stephanie from Tease and Makeup finished up Stacey’s makeup, emotions started to spike, and tears started to flow. Stacey and her mom shared so many sweet moments together that morning. It was funny- most of the girls came up to me in the morning directly to tell me that we were in for an emotion filled wedding, something that we happily accepted! The ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous Hayloft on the Arch. The barn was decorated so beautifully; mason jars stuffed with pink flowers on every table, surrounded by beer made by Mike. The label read “something old, something new, something borrowed, something brewed!” (how cute is that!?) They also had custom coloring books for the kids- Stacey and Mike really thought of everyone! We were thrilled when Stacey and Mike told us they planned on doing a first look, it gave us so much extra time to have for photos with them hours before the ceremony was to even begin! Their first look was so moving, for them- and for anyone watching (a.k.a. us, haha) … it really is so beautiful to be able to see the happiness that pours out of two people in love when they see each other for the first time on the day they pledge their lives together. Stacey, Mike, and their bridal party all spent a couple of hours with us for photos before the ceremony, walking through fields, cracking jokes, and chasing (Olympic fast) flower girls. When it came time for the ceremony, Stacey walked down the aisle wrapped around her dad’s arm, looking absolutely beautiful in her sparkling white gown, with a flowing train and beaded bodice. Their ceremony was held between two open doors, decorated with floral wreaths. It was a sweet ceremony surrounded with family and friends, and when Stacey and Mike came back down the aisle together they took a huge group photo, another really awesome idea from the couple! The rest of the night was filled with some heartfelt dancing, awesome toasts, delicious food, with so many different yummy pastas, and they even had a s’mores bar (a fan favorite among many of the guests!) Music by The Mov.Em.Ent had everyone out on the dance floor, busting moves like we’ve never seen. The beautiful day was wrapped up with a grand sparkler exit, it was a perfect way to end their perfect day!
Stacey and Mike, congratulations! We are so thankful that you chose us as your wedding photographers! You are such a sweet and fun couple, and we wish you all of the happiness and love!
