Molly and Drew’s Wedding

Molly and Drew’s wedding day was something out of a story book! The sky was the perfect shade of blue, the sun was casting its warm glow, and the breeze was gentle as it blew through the trees. It was truly a perfect day to get married!

I spent the morning with the girls at Molly’s parents house, and Tom headed over to the Hampton Inn where the guys were getting ready. I was welcomed in by the bridesmaids, parents, and Philly (Molly’s childhood dog!) The bridesmaids, all in matching floral robes, gathered around Molly as she was finishing up makeup by Ann Erny from Dollface Makeup Artistry. They were cracking up at old photos on the wall, reminiscing about being little again. When the makeup was finished Molly was helped into her gown by her mom, and did the cutest reveal to her dad and then to her bridesmaids! Philly took a break from eating tissues to pose for some photos with Molly too! He is such a cutie, Philly likes to lay with his back legs flat out behind him, and with a majority of the bridal party being physical therapists (Along with both Molly and Drew) they corrected his legs so he wouldn’t get “hip dysplasia”. I thought that was so cute, they were “working” even during the wedding!

Tom and I met up at St. John the Baptist Church, what an absolutely gorgeous church! The pews were adorned with greenery and lace, and filled with family and friends. The ceremony was beautiful, it was the sweetest thing seeing the smiling glances Molly and Drew kept giving each other.

For portrait session we returned to Molly’s parents house, it was so fun for us to be back there together, because this is where we took their engagement photos! It is such a beautiful location, and it was “full circle” shooting in the same spot, this time in their tux and wedding gown. We just need to mention this wedding party… they were SO FUN! I mean between the singing, and dancing, they had us all cracking up! While Tom was shooting a walking shot with Drew and his guys they began walking towards him when all of a sudden, they all started snapping and it turned into a quartet. They all sang together walking down the road, he just kept walking backwards shooting, what a moment!

We took a short drive to the Teugega Country Club. The reception was held in a towering white tent, the perfect way to take advantage of the gorgeous view of Lake Delta. The entrance of the tent was a beautiful archway of greenery, that led onto the dance floor, which was surrounded by round tables with bouquets, and long tables with lush greenery runners. The same greenery was wrapped up the poles, and hanging bulbs lit the tent in the most romantic way. The cake table was a dream! All different kinds of cupcakes, just walking past it you got the best scent of frosting! One of my very favorite parts of the night was Molly’s father’s speech. Between congratulating the newly graduated class of Physical therapists, and saying the blessing, he told a quick story about how when he and his wife were expecting Molly, they thought they would have a boy, and that they had a name picked out for their son…Drew, well, that day they finally got their son Drew. *cue the tears!* With everyone’s belly full and hearts warm, the party got crazy with awesome music by Majestic D.J. By the end of the night, Tom was on the ground of the dance floor with groomsmen dancing above, and some of them insisting to yell “TOM” every single time they saw him. I just loved this bridal party The best man came up to us and said “This is what is is all about, celebrating their love by having tons of fun.” Very true! It was such a fun day!
