Classy, country, chic- a perfect description of Amy and Mikes’s wedding at MKJ Farm. Upon arriving the girls greeted me one by one, all so sweet and welcoming. Between taking turns getting hair and makeup done, they sprawled out on the couch, told stories and snacked on the buffet of fruits and veggies. The weather could not have been any more beautiful, and the view of the barn from the top of the hill was building the anticipation for the day. As the flower girls danced around the room, Amy’s beautiful bouquet of wildflowers was being assembled. Mike and his guys were at the Turning Stone getting ready for the day. They were all comedians, messing around and sharing wisdom from their weddings with Mike. Cracking jokes about all getting into their suite’s heart shaped hot tub together- they decided they better not and finished getting ready. Looking super cool, they left for the venue nervous, but so excited!
When all the details were perfect and the family and friends had been carpooled by ATV to the top of the hill for the reception at the beautiful pond, it was time. Amy and her bridesmaids giggled while all gathered together waiting for their cue. As the live music began, the girls trailed out one by one, leaving Amy and her father. As they emerged from the trees a smile spread across Amy’s face, she was beaming and radiant. Her smile only grew when she took Mike’s hand, his smile matching hers perfectly. The ceremony was sweet and sincere, and those smiles did not break once- even for their first kiss!
Amy and Mike’s portrait session was an unforgettable one! After some pictures by the pond, we gathered apples and took them to the beautiful horses on the farm. Jack,(the owner of MKJ) raced over to us on the ATV and opened up the gate, we all walked in and with a single whistle all three horses raced over to us, full speed- a completely awesome and unforgettable experience. We capture some amazing moments of Amy and Mike surrounded by the gorgeous horses, then Jack took us down to the reception.
The barn was decorated beautifully, rustic and country, many guests with their cowboy boots on ready to dance. After everyone is stuffed full from the delicious dinner, they are up and ready to dance! What an awesome party it was, non- stop fun all night, continuing with sparklers and lanterns at the end of the night!
