It was a perfect day for Katrina and Jay. For this sweet couple, their wedding was more than just a celebration of their love for each other, it was a celebration for their family. Katrina and Jay, along with their son Brayden, sealed their heartfelt handwritten vows surrounded by their closest family and friends during their beautiful garden wedding at Dibble’s Inn.
When we arrived at Vernon Downs, the girls were all smiles. While they were getting ready, finishing makeup done by Stephanie Lisi Orsomarso • Hair & Makeup, they passed around a scrapbook with pictures and notes – an adorable, thoughtful gift from her bridal party. From there we took a short drive over to Dibble’s Inn where the girls got dressed and helped Katrina put on her jewelry and her dress. Her mother laced up her dress and when she turned around her bridesmaids were in awe. Katrina was glowing, she looked elegant and classy, her bouquet of red roses, along with the flowing red bridesmaid’s dresses were a beautiful compliment to her gorgeous sparking lace gown.
When all her guests were seated, it was time to begin. First Brayden walked down to his father,then Katrina wrapped her arm around her mother’s and walked down the aisle adorned with red and pink rose petals to meet Jay. The ceremony was intimate and romantic. Katrina and Jay could not stop smiling at each other, and Brayden was so excited!
After the ceremony finished we took the bridal party to the woods for their portrait session, we had some laughs and Jay and Katrina shared the story of how they began dating with us. Their families had been friends when they were both growing up (they even have baby pictures together) but it wasn’t until K-rock that they clicked. Katrina was in the back of the crowd when she caught Jay’s eye, she called his name and he brought her up to the front, then the rest was history.
The reception was held in the gorgeous Adirondack room, the center pieces were wine bottles, candles, and red roses. It was sophisticated and elegant. The food was delicious, and the naked cake was adorable and tasty. The DJ played (and sang) awesome music that kept the party going all night.
