They say it is good luck for rain on your wedding day, but Amanda dreamed of a garden wedding and the weather outside was diminishing her hopes of an outdoor ceremony. Although it was overcast with a chance of showers, Amanda kept her hopes high.
We met the bride, bridal party, and family at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Verona. They were putting on the finishing touches of hair and makeup and the groom and his party were just down the hall fixing their ties and pinning on boutonnieres. We took a quick drive to the Turning Stone for separate pictures, making sure to sneak Amanda through the halls and into the car before Phil saw her. Amanda and Phil wanted their first look to be when she walked down the aisle.
After returning to the hotel, the party gathered their things and drove to Dibble’s Inn. With a few checks of the weather it was looking like the garden wedding was going to be moved inside. While guests gathered at the bar downstairs, Amanda was upstairs trying to decide what to do. The location of the ceremony was up to her, and while everyone told her to move it indoors, Amanda knew what she wanted to do. It was almost time, Amanda had arranged a special first look with her father, it was emotional for everyone. She was stunning and he could not hold back the tears as her saw her. The time for the ceremony had arrived and they needed a final decision. With both locations set up and a flood of guests waiting inside, Amanda knew what she wanted to do. The rain had let up and the guests gathered outside in the beautiful garden. It was a gorgeous ceremony and Amanda and Phil were both glowing.
After the ceremony we took them and their wedding party in the woods behind Dibble’s Inn for some pictures surrounded by giant pine trees. We then joined the guests back inside for the reception. The decorations were beautiful hand made logs from different trees. The guests were dining all night and the food was amazing. Thank you for sharing your day with us!
Congratulations Amanda and Phil!
You do nice work, Thomas! Good writing skills, too.
Thanks so much! My partner Alexis is the amazing writer! :)
Absolutely Amazing !! Great pictures even with me trying to embarrass you, but that’s me making everyone feel at ease and apart of the family. Again amazing job Tom and Alexis.
Thank you so much Holly! It was pleasure and we cannot wait to show you the rest!
